2016~Up The Creek Campground~Pigeon Forge

I can't believe that I haven't posted a thing since October! Since then, I've stayed busy doing stuff and obviously, it was not blogging stuff!

After a nice trip to Port Aransas
with a stop at lovely
Buckhorn Lake Resort
in September,
we traveled out to the
Pigeon Forge,
Gatlinburg,
Great Smoky Mountains
area in October.

It's an area we love as you may well know

I have so many pics and vids that I
thought I'd just start sharing a little at a
time beginning with our wonderful little
campground in Pigeon Forge,
Up The Creek RV Camp.

There's a lot of hustle & bustle in the area, and this campground is a little slice of country heaven after a day out and about. It's a delightful place to kick back and relax, especially if you're on one of the back sites!

The brochure map.
Our site was #15 on the bottom right.

It was quite spacious cozy
and quiet (except for our noise!)

That's George in the green shirt
and you can see our sweet Mini Schnauzer
Elmer off to the far side checking things out.
Pic above taken standing
behind our neighbor's site.

And there's that neighbor behind me.

You can see on the map, that
the campground is on two creeks--
Cove Creek and Walden Creek.

This is a view behind our row of
RV's and in front of Cove creek.

Cove Creek (left) behind our site.

Here's a short vid driving out of the park
so you can see the country setting.
Looking at the map, we are
driving along the top road.

See ya soon.

Smilles,

  2. Really enjoyed this campground peek. We have been planning to buy an RV for quite some time. We want to stay small and that's hard to find. We have a 2017 F-150 pickup so don't want a fifth wheel. Have considered the smaller motor homes too but then there's the having to take a car thing. Hard to decide. We're in NE Texas in the Lake Texoma area...almost neighbors.

  3. I'm happy that you enjoyed my Up The Creek campground post! It's a fabulous, quaint and quite campground away from the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge.

I understand how hard it is to buy an RV. This will be our 7th year RVing and we're on our 3rd and last RV. We've said that we will not buy another, and even though we said that the last two times, I think we will stick with this one because we do love it. We have a 5th wheel now but our first two were motor homes, one 34' and the second 37'. The 37' was definitely too big! Hubby had to buy a new truck though. We purchased a Ram.

If you want more choices than you can ever imagine, go to MHSRV (Motor Home Specialists RV) in Alvarado. It's the largest in the world and straight down 35W through Ft. Worth. We've always gone there to look around and get ideas, and we purchased from there the second time. Shopping there is a breeze because they let you have a golf cart and go around on your own. All RVs are open and it can take all day to look. In addition, their prices are excellent which is because of the volume of sales they make. I wish you well in your search!

Thanks for following my blog. It will be nice to stay in touch. It sounds like we live fairly close to each other. We're near Aubrey so it may only be 30-45 miles or so if you're near Lake Texoma.

    Take care,
    D~~~~
