If Cute Could Kill...

I'd be a goner and so would tons of other folks! See for yourself.

First off, here's Peyton, now 11 months old. As soon as George saw this picture, he declared, "He looks exactly like Dick!" (His Grandpa.) He's certainly a handsome little guy!

All of the photos below were
taken on Jack & Middy's boat.
Sweet Mallory grinning from ear to ear!
She's 11 months old too.
Boo & Mallory Napping
Precious Doggy Paws and
Sweet Little Toddler Feet!
Looks like Mallory is learning to
navigate Pickwick Lake with Grandpa Jack

So cute!

Drenching and Trenching

We still need trenching in various areas. This time, George decided to rent a trencher at Home Depot.

In the first three pictures, he is
trenching where the shop will be.

He's got his sound muffler on
and is listening to music on his iPhone.

Go George!
The picture below is just outside the back door. He's making a trench for a water line to run over where we will put a sink and outdoor kitchen someday.

I took this last picture at 6:15, and it was 102 degrees. Thus, the title Drenching and Trenching!

Our Two Little Packages of Delight Went Home

Preston & Triston, went home today. They arrived last Wednesday, and even though we have been having a blast, yesterday they admitted to missing Mommy and Daddy. Of course, Mommy and Daddy were missing them too.

Preston and Paw-Paw made this bowl for Daddy out of Popsicle sticks
Below is the picture that Preston didn't want me to share until he gave it to Mommy. They've been home for a couple of hours now so I'm posting!

I love this picture! He's sewing around on the butterfly picture that he drew and colored on construction paper.

We backed it with batting and fabric. He named it "Butterfly Dood." He sewed stars around it, put zigzag stitches on it, and other decorative stitches.

Here's the finished product.

Here's the box Triston and Paw-Paw
made out of Popsicle sticks for Daddy.

And here we are about an
hour before they went home.

Bye Preston & Triston. Sure was fun and we look forward to next time!

More on the Preston and Triston Visit

Yesterday, the boys and I made cupcakes. They were French Vanilla with White Chocolate icing.

They licked the bowl
Of course, Triston hammed it up for the camera.
They were invited to their cousin's birthday party the day before but couldn't make it because they were getting over been sick so we sang to Happy Birthday to Cavan.
I hope he heard us!

Preston also worked on a project. I love the picture of it but he didn't want me to post it yet because it's a surprise for Mommy. I'll post it after they go home.
I got up this morning about 7:00 and they were both asleep on the chaise chair. The light and TV were both on. Preston said they got up at 4:00. I put Triston back in bed and let Preston sleep.

It wasn't long before they were
wide awake and wrestling Paw-Paw...
and wrestling...
and wrestling!
They had fun at the kitchen table too!

And they had lots of laughs with a recording feature
that Paw-Paw just downloaded to his iPhone.
You see, Paw-Paw recorded a... well, um,
a POOT!
What could be funnier to kids (and Paw-Paw)
than repeatedly listening to a recorded poot!
The amusement is obvious!

Mimi & Paw-Paw's favorite quote so far comes from Triston.

Last night we were playing Tiger Woods Golf when Triston abruptly decided to quit. He announced that he was tired, went to the love seat, carefully spread a blanket out, plopped a pillow in place, laid down, and exclaimed, "Don't nobody wake me up 'til I say!"  Hilarious!

Saturday Adventure

Yesterday, we decided to go do something. Preston and Triston were extremely excited. In fact, they were so excited that this was the view in the back seat about two minutes after we left the house!

Preston and Triston wanted to go to...
Cabela's!
So we did.
While there, we admired all the fish...
and turtles...
and more fish...
and more fish and turtles
and
a staged oarless sunken row boat...
Next was the taxidermic Rhino...
and African elephant...

After that, we found a softer,
gentler, stuffed animal--a moose!
They loved the
moose as you can tell.
As we were headed for the door, we took a final picture coming down the stairs from the second floor with a lot of taxidermic animals in the background.
After we left Cabela's, we went to Target. Triston got a Nerf gun and Preston got "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" DVD game which we played when we got home. Out of about four games, only once were we smarter than a 5th grader. Probably a really dumb 5th grader!

Many Smiles to You,

Preston & Triston are here!

Preston & Triston arrived Wednesday, and they'll be here until the beginning of next week. We're having fun! At the moment, I think they're in the midst of a giggle fest.

So far, we've colored...
and colored...
and crumpled...
and straightened back out...
and washed over...
and over...
only to have our projects not turn out exactly as we would have liked! That's okay though because we had a great time!
