Unbelievable but Wonderful Wintry Weather

This week started out with a huge ice and snow storm but mostly ice.  My husband's employer has been closed for four days now because of the icy roads.  That's been rather nice!  It has stayed in the teens and single digits with wind chills below zero at times too.  Today it snowed more--about four inches.  For some folks this is probably the norm, especially up north, but for North Texas, this is a big deal!

This was taken out my front door very early this morning.  You can't tell but it's snowing and it snowed for another six hours or more after I took this photo.

Like I said on my other blog, I cannot believe that it's Super Bowl week here in North Texas and this is the worst weather we've had in 20 years!  I really feel for all the good folks who have worked hard planning this event for the last four years only to have the weather put a huge damper on so much of it--cancelled parties, cancelled flights, and lots of other issues.  As I write this I just heard that ice has fallen off of Cowboys Stadium injuring six people, one critically.  Yikes!  I hope they're okay!

Hopefully, tomorrow and Sunday's weather will be better.

That said, I actually love the weather but I do wish it would have waited another week.

With Snowy Smiles,

P.S. Go Packers!
