2018~Colorado, Part 1~Airstream Tour & Chuckwagon Dinner

Oh my, what an incredible trip!

As always, I invite you to tag along.

First off, our friends Joe & Linda introduced us to Patty & Dave from San Antonio. They were kind enough to give us a tour of their very cool Airstream!

Here's the comfy and delightful living area!
It's so bright and happy, it'll make you giddy!
 (l-r, Joe, Patty, Dave)

The lovely kitchen.

And check out this teapot the glows blue.
Love it!

The truly unique part of this Airstream is right
up these inviting leopard-carpeted steps.
You know you want to see what's up there!
Let's go!

Pontoon-boat furnishings
and a very pretty view!
It's quite an amazing gathering place.

Patty told us the former owner was an
amateur NASCAR driver, and they
watched races from up here.

The mountain view!
Now let's hike up to this location and
take a photo of the Airstream from there.

Stopped for a sideview along the way.
It's obstructed but a sideview nonetheless.
Here it is nestled amongst the trees.
It's a great RV, isn't it?
It makes me smile!
Thank you Dave & Patty for the tour!

Next, we're off to the Bar D Chuckwagon Supper (and show) in Durango with a group of folks from our friendly RV park. The park is full of folks who come back year after year for the summer. (Escaping the Texas heat seems to be popular because a large portion of these repeat campers are from Texas.) As a result, many of them are familiar with places to go and things to do in the area which is how we ended up at the Bar D.

The green grounds are an outdoor delight!

It's a fun place to roam around.

I hope you're in for a little shopping...

...and observing.

There's info to read.

Flowers to make you smile.

There's pickin' and grinnin' goin' on too.

Here's George & Joe holding down a bench.
If I'm not mistaken, Joe's balancing
the wagon on his head.
He's a multi-tasking daredevil!
And the warm-up act!

This quaint little church is welcoming.

Check out the heart made
of flowers on the lawn.

Oh, and the gorgeous stained glass!

How about a walk through
Boot Hill behind the church?

RIP

It's close to supper so we're back at our table.
It didn't quite fit all of us though.

Since this table was full,
Lawrence and Jan are
sitting at a table behind us.
I love this pic!

As you'd expect, the chuckwagon
supper was BBQ and very good!

Next up was the show, and...

Both of these bands were great entertainment! Their musical talent combined with laugh-out-loud comedy throughout each performance made for a hoot of a good time!

See you soon for Colorado, Part 2.
