Here I am again (nearly two months later) with my 2nd post from our trip last October to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg & the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. There's lots going on but I'm hoping to be more productive with my posting in the future.
While in Tennessee, we were happy that Jack and Middy (bro-in law and sis-in-law) were able to join us for several days. One day, we drove the 11-mile loop through Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. As you can see, it was a gorgeous October day!

and hung around just a tad bit.
Alluring streams and brooks are beyond

they're just as plentiful outside the park too!

While you watch, a man and his chainsaw
are creating bear carvings here.
Eastern Tennessee truly

Middy recommended these Amish Noodles
so we purchased a couple of bags.
They sure did make our Autumn
soups hearty and delicious!
I know there are places to buy Amish Noodles
in Texas (like Fredericksburg for one),
however,
I hereby declare,
that in the future,
it shall be a tradition to purchase
Amish Noodles when we're in the area.

Once we returned to camp, we started a fire.
Not because it was cold but mostly
because we can and we love it!
We also watched college football.
Tennessee, of course!
They played Alabama, and as expected,
they lost by a significant margin.
Hopefully, they'll clobber them next year.
