RV Trip For Some Flea Market Fun

Last Thursday, we RV'd on over to Purtis Creek State Park in Eustace, Texas where we met up with our friends, Joe & Linda, Rick & Carrie and Charlie & Sandy. We were there to attend First Monday Trade Days in Canton which is beyond huge! It would be very easy to spend several days going through it all if one is inclined to explore every corner, nook and cranny.

Also, it's definitely a Don't Miss Flea Market for anyone who loves flea markets. I saw on HGTV's Flea Market Flip that it's the oldest flea market in the country dating back to 1850.

I was in La-La Land and not thinking when it comes to pictures because I didn't even take one picture of the park! Bummer. I took a few photos at LaurieAnna's Vintage Home Store which is down the street from Trade Days and awesome!  It was at the top of my to do list so we went there first.

The photos from LaurieAnna's are on my art blog, and you can see them by clicking here. The above store link (the store name) is to LaurieAnn's online store and her blog is here.

George took his favorite, extra special, super duper camera and he didn't snap any photos either! What were we thinking. Or not thinking. We will be going back, and I will not forget to take park photos next time.

The two photos that I did take were at the flea market when we were grabbing a bite to eat and hanging out with our silly and fun friends.

See you soon.

4th of July at Cedron Creek on Lake Whitney

We took our grandsons, Preston and Triston, on an RV trip to Cedron Creek Park on Lake Whitney for the 4th of July, and for Preston's 14th birthday too. Lake Whitney is south of Fort Worth and only about 2-1/2 miles from home. We also met up with two other RV couples--Linda and Kenneth, and Paul, Tara and their son Dalton.

The kids kept a game of NASCAR Monopoly going,
and played it every time we went into the RV.
We moved it to the dashboard so we could
use the table which worked out just fine.

We ventured out on Paul's and Tara's boat.
This is Preston, Triston and Dalton
loving a ride on Super Mable!
Woo-hoo!

They wanted to be thrown off so
Paul drove in circles and bounced over
wakes until their wish was granted!

We stopped at a beach and hung in the water.

We also ran into Diane (in the hat).
Her hubby works with Geo, Paul and Kenneth.

When it was time to head in,
Tara and I hopped on Super Mable.
We didn't want to be thrown off though.
It was truly like riding on a couch except for
little sprays of water here and there!

That evening, Paul cooked up his yummy fajitas!

So delicious!

Paul and Tara had to leave for a day
so we found a beach to hang out.
Preston and Triston playing washers.

Kicked back!

The crew!
Front-Triston, Dalton & Preston
Back-Linda, Kenneth, Tara, Paul, Me and Geo.

We also took our bikes and two extra
bikes for the kids on the trip.
Every morning and every evening, we rode them.
Fun, fun!

Smiles,

More Snow Photos from Krugerville, Texas

I got out the ole ruler and we have 5 inches of snow. It's stopped for now though. We might have another band coming through though.

The girls and I ventured out into the backyard at 4:30. It was fun.

When we came back in, Sally had little snowballs stuck all on her hairy little Schnauzer legs. I couldn't even brush them out! They were like stickers. I had to run warm water on her legs to melt them. It was a hoot!
As you can see from the pics below,
the snow is getting deeper.
Yippee!

With Big Snowy Smiles,

It's Snowing Again!

In the true spirit of Texas weather, it's snowing again today! Yahoo! This time, the forecast is calling for much more than we had Monday!

The bottom hot tub picture is the backyard at 12:30. The top hot tub picture is at 1:30, and the Miata pulling out of the driveway is George going to work at 12:45. Linda had 5 inches of snow in Decatur (30 miles west of here) by 1:00. About 45 minutes later, she called to tell me she mixed up a batch of cookies, and was about to put them in the oven when the power went out.
